So what in the heck is all this?In the everlasting search for new mediums to express my creativity, I began my journey of the visual arts experimenting in drawing, painting, and animation at a very young age. Frustrated in my (lack of) ability, I eventually took an interest in photography in 2003. Determined to master my new craft, I set forth on a mission to publish 1 new photo a day for an entire year, then compiling the series of images into a book, documenting the sights of my travels and the progression of my artwork. Thus, PROJECT:3six5 was born. I didn't realize what I had committed myself to, but knew I had a daunting task at hand. Rain or shine, every day was a challenge to shoot something new or creative. Ultimately, only 201 consecutive days were shot before the assignment became too much and PROJECT:3six5 was put on hiatus in 2005. Two years later, the dream of publishing that 365 photo book is still alive and PROJECT:3six5.com has been resurrected once again in 2007! The website domain PROJECT3six5.com was born on January 26, 2005 at 10:25pm. Originally hosted on another website as a temporary project back in 2004, it first became a streak of taking photos several days in a row, then a quest to capture 365 consecutive days, and now a mission to take a photo of every single day of this year! (so far, so good) |
